I have been a musician since 1979; Bass, Guitar, Drums, & Vocals, with some Studio & Live Sound Engineering on the side. I like to write and record music. I have several recording projects going at any given time by myself or with my buddies. I have a recording studio where I spend a whole lot of time.

Amatuer electrical engineer, IOT. Do you like making projects with the ESP8266? I do too. I use the Arduino IDE for programming them.
I have built 23 modules so far for reporting data, controlling devices, and sending alerts. They are integrated with 9 cameras, 3 door sensors and 2 ibeam sensors.
I have modules in half the rooms in my house reporting temperture and humidity. My garage furnace and water recirculator are both controlled, I have configuration data on SQL server which is running in my own ESX cloud. I wrote a nice website to display and control all my home automation functions.
I also have push notifications sent to my iphone anytime someone enters or exits my driveway. Three of my cameras take pictures when an ibeam is crossed, these are uploaded to my web server and pushed to my phone in real-time. Several of the modules are used to notify me in other spots in the house; sound & lights. Before switching careers in the 90s I used to be an electronic technician specializing in professional audio & lighting equipment repair. Hot rodding tube amps was always fun back then. Some day I'll tell you the story of a flying Marshal stack and an 11 foot orange safety cord.
I like to work with wood, metal, plastic, etc. I like to make tables, desks, and anything I want customized or when I am too cheap to buy it. I have some fun tools and I'm not afraid to use them (mostly).
On Occasion I like to paint with oils and listen to groovy jazz music. And I am about as good as a 7 year old with finger paints, except I clean up my own mess. I find it very relaxing. I don't get too worked up about my lack of skill, I just dabble. I have a nice little art studio setup in my garage.
